The Reception

Grand Entrance

  • Time to celebrate!
Whether you’re doing a full wedding party grand entrance with a dance sequence, or being welcomed with a simple “Mr. & Mrs. _____”, have fun with it! These are your people celebrating your union! Celebrate right with them!

  • Give a heads up!
Someone will need to let the announcer know you’re ready for your grand entrance, and I would love to get set up before you enter, so I volunteer!

First Dances

  • Couple’s first dance!
It’s just the two of you on the dance floor (and some lady with a camera), and whether you’ve choreographed a dance or are just swaying in each other’s arms, this is a special moment!

  • Special Dances!
Traditionally, the Bride would have a dance with her Father, the Groom with his Mother, but you can let whomever you’d like have a special dance. New step-kids, parent figures, grandparents, or anyone else that is a special person in your life!

Events

  • Game plan!
Let me know which reception events you’re planning! Cake cutting? Bouquet toss? Garter? Maybe you’re planning a fun game, or a surprise on your new mother-in-law. Whatever fun is in store, I want to know about it!

  • Speeches!
Some of the most fun at a wedding is the speeches! These are the people that know you the most, know what is going to make you laugh, what is going to make you cry, and it’s honestly one of my favorite parts of the whole day. I love to capture your loved one’s emotion and your reaction to it all!

Grand Exit

  • Fake it till you make it?
If you’re planning to dance the night away, with no real end in sight for the reception, or you’ve chosen to save on capturing the party’s craziest hours in photos, we can always do a fun, faux exit for the album’s sake!

  • Sparkler Exit!
A popular grand exit… the sparkling aisle!
Make sure to have plenty of lighters, and maybe even double the amount of sparklers you think you’ll need. The key is to get everyone’s sparkler lit at the same time, hence the lighters (could be a cute party favor if you personalize them!), and having a second round of sparkers just in case we want to try another go at it is a safe bet - plus kids of all ages love to play with any leftovers!

Overall

My job is to capture memories.

Your job is to make them!

I am SO excited to be a part of your beautiful wedding day.

Thank you, truly, for giving me the honor of capturing your memories into photographs that I hope you will cherish and look back on forever.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to ensure you have the best day ever!
